Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden and Koi Pond

at California State University, Long Beach
Spend a Relaxing Afternoon
Feed the Koi
Dedicated in April 1981, the garden was built through the generosity of Mrs. Loraine Miller Collins. The contribution was made in memory of her late husband, Earl Burns Miller, for whom the 1.3 acre plot is named. Following three years of planning, in cooperation with California State University Long Beach, Mrs. Collins selected Long Beach landscape architect Edward R. Lovell to design the garden. In preparation for the project, Mr. Lovell visited similar gardens in Japan and in the United States.
The resulting garden reflects the universitys continuing interest in international education, and the university community is delighted to have you share in this educational, cultural, and aesthetic resource. Read more

Laurie, this is gorgeous. I hope you don’t mind, but I "borrowed" one of your photos for my desktop background!
I also linked to you in Real Estate Blog Ideas 13 for this post, I love this idea of being a tour guide for your town.
Our home is being foreclosed and we have about 20 koi in our pond. Some of our koi are 24 to 30 inches long and are about 10 years old.
We want to find homes for them. Can anyone help?
